Wandering wifi?

  1. I was at a local Fred Meyer the other day & just for fun I decided to see if they had free wifi. They did & as I logged in (on), it said something about "wandering wifi", what is wandering wifi?

    I would guess that is a local name given for the WiFi Hotspot, as people wander about. The Admin of the local WiFi Hotspot probably named it that way. The wireless identifications people see for Internet access, is names that can be edited by the Admin of the network.

    Thanks that makes sense. With the Superbowl/Seahawks coming up, I'm not thinking too clearly. As long as the Seahawks win, fine. Again, thanks. :)
