Want a free Google TV? Tell Google you're a Web developer

Google TV for me don't make senses, if i want to watch something from the web, i can always stream it from my laptop to the TV, wirelessly! (Windows 7 was my Idea...lol).

I am web developer but not sure why you need to compete on behalf of company.. Can't we develop our own and participate..

Google is set to position themselves within the middle of a ton of markets they will seem pretty spread out but when all said and done they will be intergrated into almost every common device phone, house, tv, mobile, car even house hold items like furnace, fridge, air conditioning for smart homes. The big question would be how much higher can their stock go.

But seriously, does anyone actually buy these things? $300 to get TV shows off the internet to your TV where you probably already pay to watch TV shows through a satellite/cable service? Sure you can get Pandora and Facebook and Netflix too, but most new TVs already offer that as a built in feature.
