  1. The NFL playoffs wrapped up this past weekend resulting in Super Bowl bids for the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. Ahead of all the "expert" predictions is one from the diehards at TecmoBowl.org (think Tecmo Super Bowl from your youth).

Using the Tecmo Super Bowl 2016 mod which includes full rosters and ratings for all 32 NFL clubs , the team ran a simulation of Super Bowl 50 to determine the outcome.

In the first quarter, Panthers signal caller Cam Newton dropped back and delivered a bomb to wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. for a 70-yard touchdown. A costly turnover by the Broncos in the red zone negated a scoring opportunity late in the second, sending the game to halftime with the Panthers up by seven.

Was the Broncos' venerable quarterback Peyton Manning able to mount a comeback in the second half? And more importantly, do you think the Tecmo Bowl simulation correctly guessed the winner? Sound off in the comments section below.
