My roommate has been asked to be a web administer for a site his boss just put up. Its a comic strip site. Anyone have links or helpful guides to "web administer basics" for apple OS. Thank you in advance.

Are you just looking for help on how to use Apache server? OSX Server should pretty much be plug and play, you don't need to do much more than enable it and install PHP and add your HTML or PHP files.

It may be better for your friends company to use Linux. Most distributions will come with a 'Server' installation, which will have all you need to run a good server.

Most servers use Linux software. In fact, even Microsoft used Linux for their web servers until recently, instead of their IIS stuff :D

Plus, there's lots of guides for Linux Server's online.

    Zars.
