Web Home Page opens 1" below top of screen ????

When I log onto the net, the home page all of a sudden has
started opening with the top of the page bout 1" below the top
of the screen, making me drag it upwards to be able to see
the stuff at the bottom.

Not critical, but annoying - how to fix?
