Web page problem

  1. I have Norton installed and when I connect to the internet it says the web page cannot be displayed. When I disable Norton I can connect with no problem. I have allowed access through the personal firewall and it stilldoesnt work. What do I do

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    Norton causes more problems than it solves and is a resource hogging crap piece of software.

    I recommend you do the following.

    Download this Symantec/Norton removal tool.

    Download one antivirus and one firewall programme from the choices below.

    AVG free or Avast antivirus programmes.

    Zonealarm, Kerio or Comodo free firewall programmes.

    Disconnect from the internet and run the Symantec/Norton removal tool.

    Reboot your system the required number of times.

    Install whichever firewall programme you chose and reconnect to the internet.

    Install whichever antivirus programme you chose and run the antivirus updates.
