  1. We recently reported on a new software suite that would let you make copies of your DVD movies (for backup, right...). Today an U.S. federal judge ruled that DVD copying software is illegal and gave 321 Studios seven days to stop selling their software.

    Lindows.com is giving away LindowsOS 4.5 developer edition again. Update: Sun is also currently offering Solaris 9 for free to students, developers, etc. (Thanks CptSiskoX)
