Don't want to derail the merriment, but I'd like to post a couple comments about the laptop industry.
Why the frick are we still saddled with crap glossy screens? You can put a full HD IPS screen in a $400 tablet and you can't put the same screen in a $1200+ laptop? Why not? Just charge the extra $25 and get er done already!
Everything in a laptop over $1000 should have a full HD (or better - 1900x1200) IPS, Matte finish screen.
Also, laptop manufacturers, I would really like to give you an extra $5 in exchange for having a second fan dedicated to my laptop GPU. You can, and should use larger fans in gaming laptops, instead of using the same business laptop crap fan and just making it spin faster. Plus, one micro fan for a hot cpu and a gpu just makes an extra noisy laptop. Use some common sense. You are already overcharging by half, so throw in a dedicated, extra large, gpu fan to make it cooler and quieter already. AND allow access to the fans so that they can be cleaned out once in a while. It will save you some warranty expenses and end user frustration as well. You DO want your customers to be happy don't you?!?
And I'll throw one more in. Do not shrink the zero key on the numerical keypad. I would be the proud owner of an Asus G74 right now if they hadn't botched the zero key and used a glossy crap screen on their $1800 laptop. So sad, too bad. Maybe they will clue in by the time they release a G75 laptop. (which should have a matte screen, two larger than normal fans, optimus or the ati equivalent ENABLED, and a full size zero key. And make it all business black. No kiddie neon BS please!)
