Weekend Open Forum: Do you have any pets?

Aside from a computer, the other thing I begged my parents for when I was a kid was a dog. They were reluctant but one day when I came home with a kitten from a friend’s litter, they presented me with two options: I could keep the cat now or get a dog for Christmas. I went with the kitten and never looked back.

These days, my girlfriend and I have four pets – a grumpy cat I adopted in 2008, two incredibly sweet kittens we adopted a little over a year ago (pictured above) and a dog she had since before we got together. Needless to say, it can sometimes feel like a zoo with so many animals running around.

With this week’s open forum, we’d like to hear about your pets. Do you prefer man’s best friend, felines or something else entirely? Feel free to share in the comments section below.

My gf has a dog which I walk and feed, so yeah pretty much.

Cats die to easily unless you keep them inside which to me is cruel. They aren't meant to be stuck inside. Either are people :). Cats also have that wierd parasite in their poo.. creepy stuff... some mice have been known to walk straight up to cats after being infected. I wonder what it does to us.

My family has always had pets, at some point we had two cats, two dogs and a parrot :).
But now I live alone and don't want pets. I wouldn't have time to take care of them anyway.

Pet rock .... been with me for years .... constant companion, never makes a mess, always obeys to commands of "sit" and "stay", pretty good on roll over too. Only down point is he will never make it as a retriever when I go duck hunting ... oh, he enthusiastically goes after the ducks, but hasn't gotten the swimming thing down yet ....

I have three cats, one white, one yellow, one is gray with black stripe.
They run out everyday.Sometimes came back with a broken leg.:'(
The yellow one is the most naughty boy,:Dhe would bite you sightly if you forgot to feed him.
He would jump to you, when you are sitting on a chair.
I love them.:)

11yr Springer who sits by me when I'm working/gaming at the PC (or by my mate when he comes around for a LAN party)

I have two cats. One is mine that I've had for 9 years, the other is 6 and was originally adopted by my father (until he passed away). Then my wife adopted him.... or I should say the cat adopted my wife.
