How fast is your internet connection?

This week Speedtest released a new report on the state of fixed and mobile broadband speeds across the U.S. The data for the first six months of 2016 showed an annual 40% increase in fixed broadband performance and a 30% increase in mobile internet performance, and while that’s certainly good news, Speedtest notes that on average speeds in the U.S. are still much slower than what many other countries receive.

We’ve asked this one before but given two years have passed since then it’s a good time to check up how things have changed: So how fast is your internet connection?

We recently got on a 200 Mbps FTTH plan for TechSpot’s office in Ecuador, while at home I’m getting 100 Mbps -- also on a speedy fiber to the home link (or fiber to the premises). On my phone I just ran a quick test and I’m getting 34 Mbps with Movistar which is better than I was expecting. Share yours in the comments.

In Phoenix signed up for the 150Mbs plan through Cox and get anywhere from 150Mbs to 190Mbs down and 10Mbs up.

35 down, 5 up. I used to have 50 down, 6 up, but I knocked it down a tier because of the cost. Canada, 300 GB limit

Around 950Mbps up and down in KC, Download biggest steam game in about 5 minutes. However, been considering downgrading to 100/100 plan. TWC tried to convince me to stay by comparing speeds, I just laughed.

Australian here. Im unlucky enough to live on a street that is connected to a 'RIM'. Most RIMS only allow up to ADSL 1 speeds :/, no matter if the exchange is ADSL2+ compliant or not.

Our internet plan is
8.16 Mbps/0.38 Mbps

In real life I usually sit at around
7Mbps/0.3Mbps

Should be switched over to NBN any moment now which will be 25Mbps/5Mbps for the same $90AUD per month (400GB)

Eventually ill be hoping to ditch Telstra and grab a 100Mbps/40Mbps plan with some other RSP.

I'm currently living in a hotel until my new lease starts at an apartment next week. The Internet here is barely 3Mbps down.

150 down, 45 up. I have Comcast. Paying $85/m. I'm never home during peak hours so I don't know if it fluctuates. Had some outages over the past few months but Comcast finally owned up to it being on their end after they fixed the problems and they took $115 off my bill this month.

50/50 mbit fibre. Was installed December 16th, 2014. What a christmas present. :) Before that I was trickling away on a 16/0,8 ADSL connection.
