Weekend Open Forum: What games are you playing right now?

Personally, I am playing Battleblock Theater, CS:GO, One Finger Death Punch. Which out of 50 games on Steam that I have installed, these are the only ones I am playing.

Well I love to see people being foolish enough to spend more that £5 on a game. Borderlands Pre Sequel is already £60 for game and season pass on Steam. Which has to be like £100 on consoles.

But seeing as its been said many times over, these next gen games, offer nothing new, accept polished graphics, and new dialogue. I care for neither so when these games hit £5 or £8.74 with the season pass. I will snap them up. And never play them.

Atm Final Fantasy xiii pc release

Also
simcity 4-5
Mass effect trilogy for the 5th time now with all the dlc in everygame, feels fresh
+ some bf with good company

Playing Fifa15, Destiny and Diablo3 RoS on 360. PC doesn't get much of a lookin nowadays partly cos the chair is uncomfortable and I spend 8 hours a day sat at a desk at work.

I am currently working on Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition (PS3), CoD: MW3 (PS3), Dead Rising 3 (PC). Just picked up Shadow of Mordor (PC) & Dark Souls 2 (PC) but have not played either yet.

FreeSpace 2 (FreeSpace Open mods)
I had no idea that people still played this. I found out about FS open a few years ago and it really is amazing what they've done with the graphics. Volition should re-release the decent and freespace series with improve graphics. I think the controls are still fine though, no need to tweek them.

Why did sci-fi flight simulators ever go out of style?

The SCP/FSO guys are truly amazing, both with what they have done with the game and with the support they provide. When Freespace 2 came out on Steam, it didn't work out of the box but with FSO and a few steps people could get it to run. Several FSO members monitored the Steam FreeSpace forum and helped people get the game running, and some others stepped up and immediately coded a fix to make it even easier to run on Steam. Steam eventually posted a fix but didn't bother publicizing it, and it did not run automatically.

Volition was bought by THQ in 2000, but Interplay still held the licenses for the FreeSpace series. Since Volition could not continue to develop the series, they released the source code, and the Source Code Project was born. When THQ was broken up last year, Interplay bought back the rights to FreeSpace, but I haven't heard anything since then.

As far as Descent, you might want to check out Sol Contingency, a Descent re-make in development. http://preparefordescent.com/

I'm not sure why space sims died out. The main reason I bought my first computer was to play them! But they do seem to be making a resurgence these days. I am especially looking forward to Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous.

I remember my brother getting an ATI rage 128 pro for Christmas just so we could play FS2! Hell, those games are the reason I took an interest in computers in the first place.

I'd love to see a flight sim come out with the same depth that fs2 had. Not only was the story thrilling, it had the gameplay to follow. There are times I'd consider fs2 closer to scifi horror. Being stalked by shivans through a nebula was absolutely terrifying at times.

and ofcourse, what was admiral bosh doing in the Gama Draconis system..

I'm working on my backlog. God of War Saga. I've completed 3 of the games to what I consider a true platinum. What kind of platinum doesn't require hardest difficulty? I refuse to acknowledge I have a platinum trophy until I've beaten the very hard difficulty. I intend to progress to either Infamous 2 to follow up on my recent completion of Infamous 1, or I will do my last 2 trophies on the KH 1.5 Remix which is my platinum trophy required 5th and 6th playthrough of Chain of Memories. For the record, I saved the easiest for last... the only game I've ever played that makes you play on easy difficulty... so lame. I'm hoping to have this all done and get my CCNA in time for KH2.5.

I play facebook bingo games because you don't pay anything and can win $1000. I have won lesser amounts. The bingo I play at mcdonalds with my girlfriends is like that too. Pay one dollar to get in and usually win and entree worth three dollars every time, plus the possibility of a jackpot. When casino gambling get like this, I'll play there too. All they need to do is put advertisements on the slots and everybody can win.

The Typing of The Dead Overkill, Sleeping Dogs, Shadow Warrior, NFS 11, Max Payne 3, kmquake2, Far Cry 3
F.E.A.R. 3., Dishonored, Singularity and Candy Crush. Dishonored is great and Max Payne is OK as is FC3. Actually they are all OK for the prices I paid
I love singularity !! nobody I know likes that game.

Rome 2 total war now they have revamped it, the release was a mess. World of tanks and Wargame red dragon.

Supreme Commander on occasion.

I mostly play Warcraft 3 custom map castle fight and Chivalry midieval warfare when I have time.

Every once in a while I play Plants vs zombies garden warfare and Madden on xbox one

The last few days I started playing Expendabros and Road Rash Redemption.

I plan on getting the new LOTR game tonight! Shadows of mordor!

Unfortunately a lot of Destiny, the game is horrible, but I still find myself playing it, mostly because of friends who want me to play with them. Over 50 hours of Civ 5 these past two weeks, looking forward to Beyond Earth. Some BF4, Starcraft Arcade, BL2, still on the fence for the Prequel due to it being just another Borderlands, the series is starting to lose it's dazzle. Tried Dark Souls, what a waste of money, I really can't see why so many people play this game. Timeless classic CS:S every now and then as well as PoE. And although I'm not currently playing Singularity, it was one of the best games I've played in a while having had no expectations going in to.

Right now I don't play anything on both PC and Android. I got bored of games, maybe someon can recommend something with good single player that can run on a decent laptop, doesn't matter if it's new or old.

Alien Isolation. Good game so far, cant understand some hate because of the unpredictable AI. Since long this is a realistic behaving enemy that I really fear. In so many modern games, the AI is just plain stupid and after 10 min you have figured them out.

Sometimes Mechwarrior Online and TF2.

Dayz Overpoch, a combination mod of Dayz Epoch and Dayz Overwatch for Arma2 Operation Arrowhead. It's a military simulator (weapons, choppers etc) with zombies and bandits as your foes (when you multiplay PVE) PVP is against other players after an apocalyptic event. Alot of fun, though it can be hard, but you learn about real life weapons and military vehicles.

It can be confusing to install, but shouldnt have too many problems with all the Youtube tutorials out there.

You usually play this through Steam.

I'm finishing "Remember Me" alternating with some League Of Legends. After that I'm debating what to play next: Far Cry 2+3, Dishonored, Batman Arkham City GOTY or Thief Series.
