Will you upgrade to Windows 10 on launch day?

Windows 10 is coming, set to be released on July 29th worldwide. If you're on Windows 7 or 8.1 you'll be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free. If you're not on those OSes, or building a new computer, Windows 10 will cost at least $119.

Considering Windows 10 will be free for most people currently using Windows, will you upgrade on day one? Or will you wait a little to make sure it doesn't suffer from any potential driver issues as Windows Vista did, or the desktop usability problems of Windows 8?

Let us know in the comments below and feel free to chime in with your opinions of Windows 10 so far, especially if you've been using the Insider Preview over the past couple of months.

Am I getting windows 10? yes. Am I getting it on launch day? most likely not, but I will be picking it up in the first week or so.

Yeah, I have my "test" machine ready to download and install it on day 1. Depending upon how that goes, the others will most certainly follow. Let's just hope they don't accidentally include some wonderful Trojan Horse like they did a few years ago ..... that could be embarrassing, eh Bill?

Yes, day one. The current Preview build is already better than 8.1. That is with a few UI quirks, instead of a ton of them.

I'm certainly upgrading as soon as possible. But I also depend on Dell releasing drivers for my laptop model, so whether I can upgrade on day 1 depends on whether the drivers are already there.
Or can I assume that any Windows 8.1 driver I have installed will continue to work normally?

I will build a new PC with Skylake and that's when I will install Windows 10. I'm hoping to build a new PC in August. I'm not going to upgrade on launch day. It's not that serious.

Clean install. hate upgrades :p but yeah, excited to see if I boot in 5 or 3 secs with win10 :D 8.1 does it in 5 :) win7 in 9 secs :p

Hell Yeah! I've been waiting to move from W7 for whats seems like forever.

Yep, been running the Technical Preview since build 1....... plan on installing it on main computer... already reserved my copy via the task bar icon

Been a bit out of the loop lately. I might upgrade if I can do a clean install. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate OEM. Then again I might just build a new computer by then.

Not on day one. Will wait to see how everybody likes it, plus I wonder if MS can handle everyone on day one.

Im most likely going to fresh install buld 10130 tonight. directx12 is my main reason for migrating
