Thankfully I played this a lot before hours were tracked. Otherwise I'd probably be shunned for being a saddo. I haven't laid my hands on this game for 10 months or so.
Least played is Crysis Wars - Being the only uninstalled game on my steam list of 140 games.
9 hours with a game you don't like is some serious dedication lol.

Once upon a time I was so desperate to recreate the golden age of Diablo II that I'd buy damn near anything Action-RPG with a birdseye view. At my lowest point, I preordered Darkspore for like 49.99€, and the game was the worst P.O.S. I barely ever played! It's still there, in my list of games, taunting me. If there was a I-preordered-Darkspore-and-now-I-hate-myself-support group, I'd be the president.
Most played... Mass Effect 2, at 186 Hours played.
how many times did you do the campaign to get so many hours?
My most played is CS 1.6. I've been playing it for way too many years. Just bought CS:GO a few weeks ago. It's ok, but not great.
I can't remember how many times I did the campaign. Let's just go with MANY! I had to see it from every angle. Also, I spent a lot of time messing around with character creation trying to get the female version to look like Claudia Black (Farscape/SG1). lol

Alright 281 games in my library,of which I have played more then a hour in around 50 of, my 10 highest game hours are.
1. Test Drive Unlimited 2: 682 hours on record (just got back into this, prob gonna be 700 before 2014)
2. Bad Company 2: 499 hours (not even kidding might have to hop on for an hour to even that up)
3. Modern Warfare 2: 282 hours
4. Warframe: 273 hours (will be 300 before 2014)
5. Supreme Commander 2: 228 hours (have a great game going atm on this vs AI)
6. Killing Floor: 138 hours (thought I had more)
7. Left 4 Dead: 128 hours (ahh the good old days)
8. Fallout New Vegas: 107 hours (just started DLC)
9. Left 4 Dead 2: 89 hours
10: GTA IV: 80 hours
and 230 games (and counting dam you steam sales)to play through still, need to get some more head way on this, not having cable or netflix anymore should help me get going on that.

How do you sort by hours played? I'm in the client and I can't seem to find that option, or can you only do it on the website version?
Anyway I think my most played is almost definitely DOTA 2 at 827 hours although I don't play as much anymore.
I've got plenty of games that I've bought and never played (damn you steam sale/humble bundle!)

go to your steam profile and click games on the right hand side, then all games tab up top, then it will have two options for listing playtime and name.

Thanks, I was trying to do it via the library which is where I went wrong!
To be fair, the article does say "Head to your library and sort titles by playtime for a quick overview at the total number of hours spent on each game." which I think is a little misleading.
