I use a Saitek Cyborg RumblePad controller and whenever my power goes out, electricity flickers etc which cause my pc to restart, my controller stops working. The blue light doens't come on, windows says it's an unrecognized USB device. I try to plug it into my win2k laptop, and it doesn't work there either.

The only way I know how to fix it, is to take it to my windows 98 PC and plug it in, and unplug it.

It works fine after I do that.

Now WTF. Saitek site has NOTHING on this issue, and nor does anywhere else from what I can search out.

Does anyone know a way to fix this problem without having to go all the way into another room in my house and booting up a slower PC just to get my controller to respond?

A UPS would be a way to solve that problem & also keep the rest of your system safe, especially since you seem to have these power problems pretty often.

Have you sent a note to Saitek on the issue? The site may not have anything on it, but tech support might be aware of a problem.
