  1. Here is a pretty good deal on an external hard drive.

Western Digital MyBook 1TB USB2 External Hard Drive just dropped to $230 online, plus $6 shipping fee. At $0.23 per GB, it's one of the best deals around for a large capacity external hard drive.

External drives usually cost more than internal drives, but internal 1TB drives actually cost a little more than this external drive.

It seems to have gotten decent reviews on BestBuy's website.

    Better Deal:
Cavalry 1TB (Single Disk) Dual Interface (USB 2.0 & eSATA) External Hard Drive - CAXE3701T0 - Includes eSATA cable and bridge!
    Its $249.99
If you are a first time Google Checkout user its $239.99
Then if you go for a rebate here (warning pdf) its $209.99-$210.99 depending on whether you got the Google Checkout discount.

    FREE Shipping

I bought this drive a few weeks ago for $260 and it was a deal then (compared to newegg prices for single drive 1TB drives) now its even better. eSATA or USB 2.0 is pretty awesome.

While I haven't opened the drive up I did read somewhere when I was ordering mine that the drive itself is a Western Digital drive. Its very quiet, runs plenty cool, so don't worry about lack of a fan. My only complaint is the LED is crazy bright, but it seems anything that uses those blue LEDs are.
