What can I do to install Win XP ?

I finally decided to say goodbye to DOS, and move from Win 98 to XP.

But I got the sad news that my PC doesn't meet the requirements.

Item Required On My PC

Speed 500 MHz 450 MHz (P-III)

RAM 64 MB 128 MB (ok)

Video Ram 16 MB 4 Mb (bad !!)

Video Adaptor S3 Inc. Trio3D/2V1.00.16

Video Adaptor Type S3 Inc. Trio3D

Is there anything I can do without buying a whole new motherboard ?

It's time for a complete new system.Yours was probably built before XP

Best time to purchase Windows XP computers from the retailers. Most are getting rid of them to replace with the Vista's computers. Get them while on sale and while they last.

o_O i bet that computer was built before they even thought about xp :3 no offence but i had an amd Packard bell 98 back in the day.
and the ram
NOT OK o_o omg 128?! 256 is standard! O_o; anywho dont get a dell... my friend killed me for recommending one.
