It's a toss up. They are both strong at certain games and such. Check out the VGA charts at Toms Hardware here to compare them yourself. I would prefer the 7600GT myself, but that is because the card has been around a bit.

The 7600GT should outperform easily a X1650 card. Even the lower end 7600GS card competes (and kills too ) the X1650.

So the 7600GT wins
