What graphics card for Dimension 3000?

  1. If anyone can help,
I have a Dell Dimension 3000, and am looking to install a graphics card to play Civ 4. I found a XFX GeForce FX 5200 128MB DDR PCI PVT64KNTFG. for about $50.
The Dell homepage and 1 800 number has not been helpful. I just have a few questions:

The game requires a Geforce2 or higher, is the 5200 higher than a Geforce2?
Do these Dells have PCI ports?
Any other factors I need to consider before buying a graphics card?
Is there a better graphics card than the Geforce 5200?

    Yes, it would be higher.
Yes, it's the only type of slot that it has.
Whether your power supply can support running the new card. Whether it's worth upgrading a system that can only support pci graphics.
Yes, in order of order of slowest to fastest: 5200<5500<6200<x1300~x1550
The x1300 and x1550 cards are the fastest readily available cards for the PCI interface. Some pci 7300gt and 8500gt cards(which would be fastest) are available in some countries, but I have not seen them available in the US.
