My hard drive is broken (failed diagnostics test) so i need to buy a new one. its a dell one but they're very expensive compared to www.maplin.co.uk
firstly, and this may offend some readers due to it more than likely being a stupid question, i dont know why im even asking it but can u use another hd other than dell?
my broken hd is a maxtor 160gb ATA/ 133 HDD. can anyone suggest a hard drive that will be compatible with my dell dimension 3000.
i went out and bout an sata hard drive today only to find that my IDE cables dont match. im now starting to panic that i wont get my money back firstly and that i'll never get my pc up and running again!
