What is a good Video Conversion software

I am looking to get a new conversion software. I have Dr. Divx, but I would like something that is more involved. Like, I need to set final size of the video in format of my choosing with frames per second of my liking. Also I need it to do bach converting. Can anyone recomend anything?

I sometimes use the trusty windows movie maker, makes some nice small files not really tried the high quality stuff, u might like to try that out and see if its any good.

Oh no, movie maker does not cut it. I need something that can read DVDvideo and lets me modify at least FPS, size, biterate, videosize,...

I use WinAVI Video Converter V8.0. Works wonders and it the one I use alllll the time.
