What is SPDIF?

Hi, I'm new here. Just got a Velleman TV game kit and the respective connection cables and just need to know if it will work with a PC as well. It needs a video socket and audio socket. I have a Packard Bell Windows XP with an athlon processor. Thanks for your help.

S/PDIF stands for Sony/Phillips Digital Interface.

It connects audio devices and allows audio transfer between them without the need to convert the audio to and from analog format which may reduce quality.

As far as using it on your PC, it may be possible, but you may have to have certain hardware/software in order to do it. Try listing your whole PC's specs.

Other than that, I really don't know that much about it. I'm sure someone else can help you though.
