What slows my log on down?

Hey everyone. I went to my schools tech people to have them fix photoshops licensing for me, but for some reason they wanted to re-image my laptop... So, they re-image my laptop, and photoshop works, BUT log on takes at least one minute and boot to log on screen at least 1 minute 30 secs.

Why would it go so slow? Before the re-image it took at most 10 seconds to log on (from hitting "enter" to being able to open apps) and at most 50 seconds to boot from the Windows splash screen.

I checked startup programs, defraged, blah blah blah, but still, nothing has changed. This occurs on administrator and my schools domain account.

ARGGGHHH!!! It's annoying going from one minute to almost three!!!

Edit: oops i forgot im on win xp pro sp2 - lenovo t60

Is the BIOS set to "Quickboot?"

    Yes it is.

I heard that DNS could mess up your log on, though I have no idea how to see if that is the problem or not. No matter what I do during the log on (switch off wireless, etc.) it takes its 1.5 minutes.

    It's pretty annoying...

May just simply be a slow computer, eventually, it can happen...
