What to do with thumbs.db?

i have a file that is now on my desktop called thumbs.db that i put there when i rearranged my pictures. now i get a pop-up window when i try to put it back in there (by drag and dropping it).
i would just like to know, is there a specific place for this database file, and a specific way to put it there? thanks, Ed

Just delete it. Windows keeps the picture thumbnails in there for faster retrieval.
