What to upgrade?

    Hi there-
I currently have a 2.0GHz AMD Athlon 64 with 512MB of RAM. I recently purchased some graphics intensive software for my home office (I am a Virtual Reality programmer) that causes the PC to run slower because it's so resource hogging. I am wondering what types of upgrades you suggest...

Should I increase the RAM to it's capacity? Should I purchase a new video card? Both?

One other option I considered was just buying a case and building up a computer on which ONLY the VR software would run. Just weighing out the costs/etc.

    I appreciate any input.

If your program is heavy, then RAM should be upgraded to 1-2GB and Virtual Pages 2-4GB. It's no use if u upgrade to even core 2 extreme but ram only 1/2 GB...
