What video settings do you prefer?

If your card isn't capable of maxing out on all resolutions and settings for your games, which settings do you prefer to use?

1. Higher resolution and mid textures et al?
2. Lower resolution and everything else on high?

Which do you think would give you better frames, 1 or 2?

I tend to mix and match according to what game i'm playing.
Would like to hear your opinions though

It depends on the game. Like americas army I have everything on high and have the res set to 1280x1024 I think. But like BF2 I have to put it with everything on medium or so and the res is on 1024x768. But ya it pretty much depends on the game. If it is a newer game that my card does not run very well then I have to put it on lower settings. I like to try and keep the res to about 1024x768 though.

My monitor is a 1280x1024 but I personally seem to like to play at lower res...I guess it helps me aim better lol
