    minidumps

When you get a stop error (Blue Screen of Death), windows writes a small file called a minidump. It will contain an 8 digit number which is specific to the type of error.

    What program do you use?

I tried to open a minidump in a notepad session, but I got something I usually call garbage.
What is the program used to view this information?
If you are supposed to use notepad, how do you find the information you want?
