When I turn on my comp it keeps restarting itself

    I just got done doing a microsoft update so I had to restart it restarted and it got to the XP Loading screen with the lil loading bar under it and then it restarts, and it will keep doing that over and over and over...i cant get into safe mode cuz it will do the same thing and I cant use "last known config that worked good"....anyone knows what is happenin and how i can fix it?

    Bring the menu up that you can select the boot mode from and change the setting for restarting upon error. That might not be exactly what it says but you'll know what option it is :)

    Then when the pc usually restarts, hopefully it will stop and show an error screen.

    I dont see anything like that, would it be in the set up or boot menu

    See here, except instead of enabling boot logging, select the "Disable automatic restart on system failure" option

    Hi kenshin954

    I now have the same problem you hade. Im using Vista and it keeps restarting while the PC is doing a update, its doing the same thing when I try to get in to safe mode.

    Have you solved your problem and if, how?
