i dont really have a budget.. but it has to be pci because my comp doesn't have an AGP slot. i wanna use it to play like WoW or games like that.

i hate mobos that dont have agp slots, i guss that a 5700le is the best bet for you, what are your systems specs, im looking at newegg.com rite now for you

i have a 2.66ghz processor with 512mb of pc3200(planning on getting another 512) and onboard graphics

The best pci is the fx 5600 pci in either 128 or 256mb, but it's only available at amamax.com, and as @12if (member here) is finding out(he ordered one and it's been like a month, and still no card delivered), they might not be a good place to buy. They aren't rated too badly on resellerratings.com, but I think after @12if's experience I would never shop there or recommend it to anyone else. Besides the 5600, the 5700le is next. It should be an improvement over integrated. Look for one with a 128bit memory interface(not 64 bit interface).

The 5500 and 5700le compared here are both 256mb, but that shouldn't effect the results too much. The 5700 is better.
What is a RAMDAC?
It converts the video cards digital signal to analog so it can be displayed on a crt monitor.

The 9250 is comparable to the FX5200, the FX5700 is better even if it is the LE version.

Agreed, 5200~9250<5700le<5700. Some 5700le's can oc to 5700 speeds, but oc'ing's a risk.
