Hi
I need some help on deciding which graphics card to buy for my PC. With so many cards to choose from, I'm not sure which one would be better. I am not a hardcore gamer but do play some games i.e. FEAR, Far Cry and watch a lot of movies on my PC.
I recently returned a faulty ATI Radeon X1600 XT PCI-Express where the fan had stopped working after 6 months and started to get VPU errors and the screen kept freezing when I played games. I am now looking for a newer PCI-Express card but not sure which one to go for.
I did come across various ATI cards (see below) however I am open to other suggestions.
Sapphire Technology Ultimate Radeon X1950Pro 256MB GDDR3 Dual DVI TVO
GeCube ATI Radeon X1950 Pro FZ SuperCooled TURBO SILENT TEC/Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
HIS ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ 3 TURBO SILENT Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1950 Pro Extreme SILENT Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 VIVO HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
HIS ATI Radeon X1900 XT ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
HIS ATI Radeon X1900 GT ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
I am looking to spend around £150 - £200 and not sure if I should buy a nvida or ATI card. I also don't know which of them would be better in terms of graphics, movies, games and overall performance.
