Which of these three Bios settings should I be using for a SATA drive?
1.) 4P(IDE)+2S(IDE)
2.) 4P(IDE)+2S(RAID)
3.) 4P(IDE)+2S(AHCI)

1 or 2 for xp and 3 for vista.

Hey brucethetech, thanks for responding!

I'm using Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Service Pack 3. Now, what do you mean by "1 or 2 for xp", as in that either one will work equally as well? I've read that if you use the IDE setting with a SATA drive that there will be a significant performance loss as a result. Do you have any idea if that is true? Don't want to settle for less than what my system is capable of, you know.
