  1. i have 2 processors , i would like the better/faster 1 in my main pc . which 1 would you choose ?
    processors are ,
    Pentium 4 2.4
    or
    Pentium celeron d 2.53

when i put either in the main pc i notice very little difference , is there any way for me (like a program) to get real # to compare both of them while running ?

Hi gp376 and welcome to TechSpot :)

I would consider the Celeron-D "better" simply because it's dual-core.

as far as comparing the two via a "program", check out TechSpot's download section (mainly the benchmarking section ;))

    cheers

It isnt dual core, Celeron D is just a way to say its a prescott. The pentium 4 will blow it out of the water because of more cache.

yes i did notice with the p4 the cache is larger and things seem to load faster .
now that i am playing with the p4 a little more the over all performance is the same but i do notice little things such as large sites i visit and programs i normally use are much quicker .
