I am looking to purchase either a Dell 6400 or 9400 for home use (mainly internet, photo & video editing, music, multitasking, no gaming) with the following spec:-
Vista Home Premium
2048 MB Ram
120 GB Hard Drive
256 MB graphics card (either Geforce Go7300 or ATI Radeon X1400)
8x DVD/RW
I have several chips to choose from - obviously the faster the better but can anyone tell me the difference between the following chips. I have heard that you will only notice a big difference in multitasking with the T7200 & upwards. I want a fast processor but I don't want to pay extra for something that is "overkill" for my needs.
Dual Core
Intel T2060 (1.60 GHz, 2 MB, L2 cache, 533 MHz FSB)
Intell T2250 (1.73 GHz, 2 MB, L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo
Intel T5200 (1.60 GHz, 2 MB;, L2 cache, 533 MHz FSB)
Intel T5500 (1.66 GHz, 2 MB, L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Intel T5600 (1.83 GHz, 2 MB, L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Intel T7200 (2.0 GHz, 4 MB, L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Intel T7400 (2.16 GHz, 4 MB 2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
Thanks in advance for any help.
