  1. ok right now i got a 7600 gs pci express in my system and i just got a brand new Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB PCI Express for free which is better..should i keep the nvidia or pop in the ati?
  2. First of all how did you get that card for free!?! That's a $500 card! And definately drop that 7600GS, the X1900XTX KILLS it in every way.

Those X1900XTX´s cards run very hot, especially if they're using the stock cooler.
I wouldn't be amazed if they reach more than 80°C.

BTW, keep that X1900XTX, it is surely better than the 7950GT :)

More like 85-88C temps on the X1900XTX hehe. They do run hot, but are designed to do so. They don't start hitting the "danger" zone until >95C, but trying to keep them mid to low 80's is ideal.

They are pretty loud when the fan hits 100% too. They have a thermatic fan that will be quiet and at low rpm's on the desktop, but once the 3d clocks ramp up in games, the fan will pick up to 100% and sound like a dust-buster under your desk lol.

Great cards though! You'll get the best performance with great IQ from single-card in modern games with it.
