Widows Installer pops up and tries to install Roxio Easy CD Creator, which is already installed. After I cancel the Installer a few times it disappears. It returns whenever I open they CD tray, and I have to cancel it a bunch again to make it go away.

Does anybody know how to make it go away for good?

Well you can probably clear your temporary files. Which think there is something to install.

BTW  Welcome to TechSpot

Thanks for the welocme. I don't want to sound stupid, but I really need to be walked through this. Which temporary folder? How do I clear these temporary files?

go to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temp\
Thats the directory you are looking for.

You can also go to Start>Search>Files or Folders> search for *.tmp and delete everything it finds, then reboot.

I don't know if that will help but thats how you get rid of temporary files.
