I have a really annoying problem. I was at an airport and i turned my laptop on. It was loading and we had to go so instead of waiting for it to load then shut down i just held the off button. Next time i turned it on it said:
....A recent hardware or software problem might have caused this
Blah Blah....
then gives me four options
Safe mode
Safe mode with networking
Safe Mode with command prompt
Last Known good configuration
start windows normally

I have tried all of these and it loads to the windows thing but then comes back to the same screen. Please help. is there anything i can do.

Hi bigday173  and welcome to TechSpot

Not being able to get into any screen, means that you will require your Windows CD

From starting with your Windows CD, choose Repair, and logon to the Administrator account (usually selecting the number 1 and then pressing enter

Once in the recovery console, you can type the following on the command line:
chkdsk /f (note chkdsk /? will show all commands)

This will run a Check Disk on your drive (and hopefully fix the fault)
Once finished type Exit, and allow the computer to restart
