Will this CPU work ?

i just bought this mobo GIGABYTE "GA-8I915P Duo(REV 1.1)" i915P Chipset Motherboard For Intel LGA 775 CPU -RETAIL and i got this CPU but not sure if its going to work CPU P4/2.8 GHz 800M LGA775 520 RET plz help thanx

oh and another thing the CPU is a prescott and the chip set on the motherboard is a grantsdale would this CPU work PLZ HELP!!!

Your cpu is a socket 775 and your mobo also has socket 775 so yes it will work.

They are both LGA compatible.
