I installed Win XP Service pack 2 onto my Packard Bell notebook and now it will not restart. Can I delete this service pack before pc reboots using another method? I do not have an Windows XP disk (can't find it!!!!). What can I do to restore my pc?

if you tap F8 as your computer is booting do you get to the menu? have u tried load windows using last known good configuration? what happens when u try to go to safe mode? any errors?

if u dont know what file system u have, its probably ntfs.

it could be the bios. some motherboards don't support sp2. so it could be outdated. if u didn't update ur bios. then u should update it.
