Win2K Server Deployment of XP, Smart Move?

  1. Call me crazy but Using win2k server as a deployment engine for XP pro deployment of 4000 desktops is being mandated in my org. Is this stupid or what?? :bounce: :bounce:

    Has someone hit me with a Neuralizer and its really the year 2000??

    RIS with AD in windows 2000 is package distribution. You should be able to install Win xp with no problems so long as the package is set up correctly, and your unattended install files are created properly.

    Essentially RIS/AD don't care what the app is as long as you have all the installation parameters correct.
