    How can i remove AOL and all its components so i can download the latest version?

    You need to run HijackThis again and post the log. Please attach the log to the post instead of including it in the post. It makes it easier to read that way. And according to the instructions, you are supposed to rename the HijackThis log.

    Hold off on any AOL changes until you're told the system is cleaned and programs used have been remove.

    Did you set a proxy server if not then remove this

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = :0

    To remove aol download the removal tool from the link below

    Ok i did that. The aol icon is still down in my right corner where the clock is. I looked under add/remove programs but its not in there

    I am sorry to inturupt, but can i use this treath to post my problem? Its almost exactly the same but it the error name is different (0xc0000005).

    This thread is now four pages long. And your problem is "almost" but "different". That means you need to start a new thread, after reading the malware cleaning instructions, running the programs and attaching your logs:

    You will get better response than if you're tagged on to page 4 of someone else's problem.
