Windows 10 now installed on more than 75 million devices around the globe

And you can bet their counting every installation of every beta version, including VMs. I've posed the question on multiple forums and I'll do it here:

Is ANYONE here running Windows 10 as a primary OS on any PCs? Do you know any individuals, businesses or other organizations who are?? I certainly don't.
I am running it. I love it. Much better than any other operating system out there. What is your problem with it?

Guess how long Windows 7 has been out there compared to Windows 10. Windows 7 is great but for the most part Windows 10 is even better.

Don't take our word for it. Read a few forums about Windows 10 (Techspot included), you wouldn't have to ask what is broken.
I have used it for a month now and nothing is broken. Maybe you should quit reading what a bunch of nitwits have to say that don't know what they are doing.

You should stop calling me a Nitwit, I only posted about the forums to backup my own issues. Windows 10 is broken for many people. In fact I am currently having issues upgrading a Laptop as we speak. Two attempts and it kicks back to Windows 7. With absolutely no notification as to why. This is not a old machine. It's based on Sandy Bridge architect and has a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro and fully updated. And if I'm lucky (that is absolutely the way I feel) the damn Start Menu will continue to function. You need to climb off your high horse and stop being so arrogant to those who do have issues.

My horse has not been doing drugs, so stop insinuating that he is high. Don't sit and try to say that so many people are having issues. There are some, for sure. Most people are NOT having problems so don't make it sound like they are. You only hear about those that are having problems. You don't hear about the multi millions of people that are not having problems because they don't need to write in because they know what they are doing.

Yep they are the ones that refuse to upgrade because of signs, as well as those that stepped back down to their previous OS and awaiting fixes.

And with your thought that I don't know what the masses are doing, neither do you. You want to try putting your foot in your mouth again?

Sadly, though I signed up with the "Get Windows 10" thingie when it was first available, I still don't have Win10. 8.1 is still running on my relatively new "main machine" which I built back in December of last year. My wife got her upgrade from Win7 on her laptop though, and has had no issues, but I wonder how long it will take them to get Win10 to me? Is there some way to speed up the process or do I just wait and hope for the best. I'm just here... waiting... in the cold and dark... It's OK though, you just go on without me... I'll just hibernate or something.

Use that link and download the tool for manually upgrading. I recommend making a DVD or USB install media. Some have chosen to simply create the ISO and then mount it, without needing to burn to disk. Either way this will allow you to manually upgrade without needing to wait on "Get Windows 10" to become available.

On a sidenote, Internet Explorer 11 is for some reason required for the upgrade to become available. Do you have IE11 installed?

If only people knew how much of what they're doing on their W10 computer is getting sent to M$ and god knows who else. From your browsing history, keystrokes, contacts, Cortana searches, your data uploaded to One Live, all of which is enabled by default.

Thanks but no thanks M$.
I don't know everything there is to know about computers/internet but to the best of my knowledge, the only way for them not to know would be for you to simply unplug your computer/gadgets from the internet. :)

I myself have had W10 for a couple weeks now & although I'm still confused & hate some things, why complain? Thanks to TechSpot for helping those of us hat need it :)

IKR! I'm gonna teach MS a lesson and do just that!

Hmmm, how are you going to post back here then ?? :)

I was joking. lol I usually update new versions of Windows on day one, but maybe its because im older now that I'm in no rush to make the move. I have the W10 ISO on my hard drive waiting for the right time.

Ok, its difficult to tell when someone in here is kidding or serious. In all honesty, I still miss WinMe. It was my first. I only upgraded this pc because it was free. Anyhow, nice to know ur kiddin' keep plugged in & enjoy :)

The guy is right, though. You were a real arsehole and were needlessly rude to him.
I know exactly the problems the guy has been having. I DO know what I'm doing, yet on both the occasions I upgraded my (almost new, exceeding Microsoft specs) 8.1 laptop, the result was rather like the remains of "Commander Sonak" in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" when beamed back to "Starfleet Command" - it didn't live long. Died a death. Completely corrupted my hard drive and my Microsoft account, OneDrive, Mail App and my WiFi speed.
I had to revert to 8.1 from a system image. 8.1 works perfectly, without so much as the threat of a problem. You might spread your love for 10 by appreciating that the upgrade HAS buggered the systems of a not insignificant number of expectant users, who were looking forward to using the data-mining Windows 10 because we'd been told it's the best thing since leather-arse died. Yet we got bricked drives and the hassle of having to re-install our previous version. Don't be so nasty when dealing with people. It makes you look like a right cu next Tuesday. Try advising the guy on how he might be able to get 10 on his laptop WITHOUT the myriad problems he experienced. That's more likely to keep him a Microsoft fan than some keyboard warrior giving him a hard time for no reason!

Thank you for your response. Yes I have IE11 installed and did use it as the default for some time, but then went back to Chrome because of better performance with Utube vids and such, so though IE11 is not the default browser, it is indeed installed.

I'm running Windows 10 as my Primary OS on all my machines (including work machines) my company are half way through migrating to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 and we've even helped a couple of businesses nearby upgrade to Windows 10 from 7.

I also have several friends and family already running under Windows 10. I honestly don't see everyone's beef with it either, other than a few privacy concerns which can be fixed by changing some settings, I really don't get it.
I'm running it on a desktop, a laptop and a Surface Pro 2. Other than having to research a fix for a "The start menu didn't reload, we'll try and fix it next time you reboot" error that rendered the laptop unusable until a safe mode reboot it's been ok so far. I almost miss the windows 8.1 start screen, I haven't even bothered organising the tiles in the new Start Menu.

I miss the windows 7 START screen, and windows Aero and all the other enhancements MS "left behind"

On a clean install it seems to run better than "upgrade" but then that goes for any "upgrade". And no I do not work for MS, and I am NOT a lover of windows 10. Just that I've tried it on a clean install and it seems to be ok, minus all the data mining
