Windows 10 Rear speakers greyed out

I always had a 5.1 + Headset (separate streams) sound setup in windows 7 (I set center and rear speakers to line-in and mic input respectively) and never had any issues with it. Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 my rear speakers are greyed out in Realtek HD Audio Manager and I can only reconfigure the mic jack to side speakers. I've tried installing older drivers and retasking the jack in regedit but nothing works. Has anyone been able to work around this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated because now I have to choose between 5.1 and my Headset and manually plug and unplug it every time I need one or another :/
