Windows 10, the TechSpot Review

Just when I got accustomed to 8.1 Windows 10 comes out and now I have to tweak my system again. I actually did like the charms on 8.1 and now they show up on 10's start icon. I upgraded three laptops to Win10 but will keep 8.1 on a couple and couple with Win7. One laptop has trouble upgrading to Win10 from Win7 so I'll keep it as it is. I'm adaptable to the OS but for some people it's a difficult change. It's strange with Microsoft Edge browser some sites don't recognize it as IE.

I've had it for the last six months and watched the technical preview builds grow. it's been a thoroughly enjoyable experience so far, and even the less stable builds worked much more smoothly than my windows 98. I love the new operating system, the way it's built, and the free upgrade thing they have going on. Although I prefer Ubuntu Linux, just because I can say that I technically made most of my build-Win 10 is a good runner up and very reliable.

Once again the certain sect of querimonious people who are looking for reasons to be offended , pissed, and self absorbed.

Appx 95% of my customers wanted a rollback to Win 7. Unfortunately, MS in their usual (lack of) brilliance only gave 30 days to do the rollback, which was less time than needed for an honest keep or 'screw this' decision.. Even with that, the registry becomes a mess. A good 3/4's wanted Linux Mint after demo-ing it for them. Fast, clean, security strong, and a minuscule fingerprint.Win 10 is the best thing Linux Mint never invented! There's absolutely nothing I like about it myself, but it makes me a LOT of money on Win 7 rollbacks, and customized Linux installs! Now if they could just write a decent version of WINE, Mint would be the finest thing on the system planet.
