Windows 2000 on a computer I have has decided to play funny buggers, and refuses to start up properly.
Here's what happens....
Turn it on and it goes through its blsck screen routine, then the bar on the bottom of the screen turns white, then the pale blue screen comes up.
Usually after the pale blue screen, the box prompting for username and password arrives, however now the start-up returns to the beginning and attempts to re-boot without prompt.
This repeats in a cycle.
However the computer will start-up in SAFE MODE.
what is wrong, what can i do ?
