Boot from the normal XP-Pro CD, select Repair console, run FIXMBR and FIXBOOT.
Check c:\boot.ini that there is only 1 OS in it, your current XP-Pro.
Then try again to boot from the W64 CD

The final version version for WinXP x86-64 has been released. If you have a proper XP Pro license, you can ask MS to provide you with an install CD for WinXP x86-64. It's no use playing around with the beta versions.
