Windows 8.1 Asus laptop

Hi I have an asus laptop when new it had on windows 8 home the problem is I had a problem with the laptop and buy accident I have wiped the windows 8. it came with,my question is if I was to download 8.iso and install would the machine recognise it if that is how it works or could I ring up ASUS.

Did you ring up Asus? They're never much help over the phone. Does this laptop have a factory restore feature available when you press F8 as the computer boots, or did you wipe the hole drive?
