Windows 98 SE mouse prob.

I am going to try to get my other computer to work. My mom has an aspire 98 SE. I cant get past the register screen because my new logictech mosue does not work. My old one is very old and moves only when the ball isnt in. I have to bang it. It moves extremely slow. It the wrong driection too. Is there a way to install a drive using ms-dos?

I would have thought the easiest thing to do is ditch your old mouse and replace it with a simple ps/2 mouse. the're cheap enough.
