Windows cannot continue because of hardware configuration

  1. hi i wonder if anyone help me please, i had xp on my desktop i have decided to upgrade to vista, i wish i havent because vista is so dificult to use you have to spend a fortune to get it runing all my previous programs did not install because incapabality issues and my copying to another hard drive become very slow. so now i have decided to go back to xp i have tryied to boot it and install xp but i cant get it work after it copyies the files from this i get a error message windows cannot continue because of hardware configuration. i have checked all my hardware everithing is in order. could anyone advice to solve this problem please.
