"Windows cannot find...."desktop shortcut access

I have a number of shortcuts on my desktop, all of which work fine, except all of my shortcuts to my Access (2003) databases. The same shortcuts work fine from the quick launch tray.

The shortcut finds and starts the databases just fine, but I get an annoying error message anyway which reads, "Windows cannot find [myDatabase]..."

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Pat

also in that message you should get the options to let windows point to it for you. if not just create another shotcut

Creating another shortcut does not help.

Also, what does it mean to let Windows point to it for me?

    Thanks

assuming that you are running xp. there is usually an option for windows to locate it
    try a re-install
