Solved Windows Defender/ Avast.

I just used Speccy to look at whats going on in my computer.I saw that Windows Defender is enabled. I'm also using *Avast. will they clash, because of the not running two anti viruses at the same time rule? They sure doesn't seem to be any problems..

*you may remember that I was having problems with Avast not scanning all my files. I have ,since, brought my PC back to factory setting, and re installed Avast. It now works as it should.

Windows Defender is pretty much useless but to answer your question it depends what Windows version you're running.
In Windows 8 Windows Defender is renamed Microsoft Security Essentials which means it IS an AV program and you can run only one.
In all previous Windows versions Windows Defender will not interfere with any AV program. It won't help much either

Thanks Broni. I'm running windows 7 So, since it's not contrasting with Avast, I'm just going to keep it enabled. Helpful or not.
