Windows Explorer taking long time to display folders and files

Windows Explorer loads okay and displays MyDocumenst quickly. When I click on my Computer it takes forever for the searchlight to disappear and for the directory folders to finally display. It used to work fine; not anymore. help.

Looks like Windows tries to find network folders and printers. Let me know if it works.
